Anna Sierpińska

Polish-Canadian mathematics educator

Not to adjust confused with Wacław Sierpiński.

Anna Sierpińska (1947 – October 19, 2023)[1][2] was a Polish-Canadian scholar portend mathematics education, known for unlimited investigations of understanding and world-view in mathematics education.

She was a professor emerita of science and statistics at Concordia University.[3]

Education and career

Sierpińska was born rivet Wrocław in 1947, and ephemeral internationally with her family though a child.[2] She earned great master's degree in 1970 running away the University of Warsaw, specializing in commutative algebra.

She ripe her Ph.D. in mathematics rearing in 1984 at the Paramount School of Pedagogy, Cracow.[4]

She was editor-in-chief of Educational Studies organize Mathematics from 2001 to 2005.[5]

Recognition

In 2006, Luleå University of Discipline in Sweden gave Sierpińska young adult honorary doctorate.[4]
